STAR WARS: THE FORCE = MA - PAPER AIRPLANE EDITION
VA KIDS GROUP 05.10.22 We first, made whatever paper airplane we could come up with. We saved this for later. What is THE FORCE??? 'Force' is energy or the exertion you use. And FORCE is F=MA (Force equals Mass times Acceleration) which is Newton's 2nd Law of Motion. In simple terms, the more heavy an object is, it will require more Force to move it, and the smaller the object the less Force required to move it. Then, we learned about Isaac Newton and his 3 Laws of Motion: #1 Inertia (a body at rest wants to stay at rest, and a moving body wants to stay moving unless another force stops it) #2 F=MA (see above) #3 Action/Reaction (forces come in pairs if you push an object and it doesn't move the forces are balanced or equal, if you push and the object moves, then the forces are unbalanced therefore MOVEMENT!) And then we learned how these Laws & the 4 forces of LIFT, GRAVITY, THRUST & DRAG affect our Paper Airplanes. We did a KAHOOT REVIEW to test our knowledge of the subject and various Star Wars Characters. Then we made our LONG DISTANCE FLIERS!!! And launched both aiplanes from the same spot, to see if the long distance plane was really better! PS- IT WAS WAY BETTER!!! It really went the distance despite looking like it wouldn't! ❤️Thanks to all the students and parents for your support!❤️ #themcnuttyprofessor #themcnuttyprofessordoesstarwars #starwars #starwarsscience #starwarsmath #starwarspaperairplanes #paperairplanes #newtonslawsofmotion #airplanes #aerodynamics #aerospaceengineer #aerospaceengineering #homeschoolgroup #onlinegroupclasses #liveclasses #funscienceexperiments #funsciencecclass #funmathclass #gravity #theforce #maythemasstimesaccelerationbewithyou#forceequalsmasstimesacceleration #aerospaceengineeringstudent #engineeringforkids
