WAVE? or SHARK FIN? Been practicing some Kirigami… What’s Kirigami, you ask? It’s like Origami, where you fold paper, but unlike Origami, it involves intricate cuts as well. It gives a 3d ‘pop-up’ effect. I’ve worked on some kiddie friendly types that I call “Paper Cuts” (exploring the limits & versatility Paper, btw, it’s actually cooler than it sounds! See upcoming posts) I personally love exploring the more architectural, industrial and geometric types. Since I love pop-up books and cards (I’ve collected many from my travels in ‘awe’ of “I’ll never be able to do that” type of wonder), it only makes sense I would give this a try now! Here’s my first basic adult go at it……See what Pyper and Blake think it looks like, and their music mashup!!!
